Dads know too

ELLIOT'S DAD SAYS

“I play the guitar for him – he’s usually mesmerised and forgets about his teeth completely.”

JESSICA'S DAD SAYS

“Although we had a few tears on the way, going to the park for a swing on the swings often did the trick. For a little while anyway!”

SCARLET'S DAD SAYS

“I pretend to fall over again and again. She laughs her head off every time!”

LOLA’S DAD SAYS

“I play peek-a-boo, I never thought this game could be so much fun, but my daughter loves it and can laugh for hours. It is not so entertaining for me but it distracts her from the teething.”

EMILY’S DAD SAYS

“This isn’t really a teething tip, but I make sure my wife gets a break. Emily wants more night feeds when she’s teething so Jo gets extra tired. I make sure she has a chance to go back to bed at some point. In our house, if mummy is happy, life is a lot easier!”

ISLA’S DAD SAYS

“When it’s warm enough, we go into the garden and I give her a bucket and spade with some soil to play with. She’ll sit for quite a while doing her ‘gardening’.”

AMELIA'S DAD SAYS

“We dance. We put on any old song and I dance her around the living room. It doesn’t really work if she’s in full-on crying mode, but if she’s just a bit grizzly, it usually cheers her up.”
